What coating allows for more design?
McKinnon Crete. This is because it can be made into a vast number of shapes and be shaded to any color one would want.
What coating hides cracks better?
Epoxy Stone. This is because the product can be applied thicker, and will allow more expansion and contraction.
How thick are the coatings?
Epoxy stone can be applied anywhere from a quarter of an inch to as thick as needed. McKinnon Crete is anywhere from an eighth of inch to a half of an inch.
How long do products take to cure?
Anywhere from twelve to twenty four hours.
Is Epoxy Stone smooth or rough?
Epoxy stone is very smooth; it feels great on bare feet.
During the application processes, will any heavy equipment tear up my yard?
No. There is no heavy equipment involved; a wheel barrel is the heaviest thing that will pass through your yard.
How long do coatings take to apply?
This all depends on the size of the job and the steps involved, anywhere from a couple of hours to a few days.
How much money is required for you to start work on my job?
We require a one third down payment of the total estimate to begin work.
Is there a payment plan or do I have to pay everything once the job is completed?
Our policy states that once we have completed work in a satisfactory manor, payment in full is required.
Am I able to pay with my credit card?
We only accept cash or check.
Is there any maintenance or up keep with your coatings?
There is no maintenance required with any of the coatings except epoxy stone. Every couple of years it will need to be washed, cleaned and given an epoxy coat.
Is there any kind of warranty?
Our contracts offer a standard one year warranty on the materials and craftsmanship. On special request we also offer 5 year limited warranties. Warranty does not include cracking in the substrate.
Is there any way that I could look at what a coating would like before it is installed?
Yes. We offer show room appointments, where our coatings are showcased.
Is McKinnon Crete the same as stamped concrete?
No. McKinnon Crete is similar but it is applied after the concrete is installed.
Does L.A. Decks Surface of Stone pour actual concrete substrates?
Typically we do not. We would pour concrete only if one were to put a coating on top of it.
